Off Campus Library Services

OCLS is a service established to provide students enrolled in Campus Manitoba Courses with the materials needed to conduct research. Often, students in remote communities do not have access to essential books, journal articles or government documents. OCLS exists to provide distance education students with timely access to the types of information needed to do university level research.

OCLS provides Campus Manitoba Students with a number of services including:

Access to an Online Catalog (ALPEH)

  • Immediate online access to articles held in 4500 journals!
  • Library Research courses which are offered via LearnLinc.
  • The distribution of books, journal articles, government documents, etc., to students in remote communities.
  • On-site assistance with research topics via Campus Manitoba Coordinators, who are trained in doing library research.
  • Online Information Desk assistance from trained information professionals.

Contact information, detailed links to the Off-Campus Library Services and a tutorial designed to help students with research projects and can be found on the OCLS page in the 'Students' section of this website.
