The current course fees are viewable at:
http://www.campusmanitoba.com/main_courses_fees.asp
You will need the following information when filling an application form:
When you make application to Campus Manitoba, you choose one of Manitoba's Universities or Colleges as your home institution. Campus Manitoba, however, is not a home institution. One of the partner institutions admits you.
You may, at any time, choose to register for on campus courses at that institution, since you are one of their students. You may change institutions.
If you wish to do so, speak with your Campus Manitoba coordinator. He or she will help you with the transition. A new application will need to be submitted to the new institution, but you will not need to fill out a new Campus Manitoba application, because we administer that process from the Campus Manitoba database.
As far as scholarships are concerned; any scholarships from the institutions are applicable through Campus Manitoba.
There may be a limitation in regard to your courses needing to be from the institution offering the scholarship.
You would contact your Campus Manitoba centre coordinator or the Director of Campus Manitoba at our toll free number 1-866-445-0063.
Despite the virtually seamless transfer of credits, Campus Manitoba students must choose a "home institution". That institution will evaluate and approve your admission application, hold all your earned credits, and will be the institution from which you expect to graduate. Your transcripts will be issued by your "home institution". At the end of your studies, students graduate from their home university or home college ("home institution"), not from Campus Manitoba.
All CMB university courses have "course credit equivalency".
For complete information click on Course Credit Equivalency.
If you want to transfer credit from university to college or from college to university, you will need to contact your home institution and talk to a student advisor. In almost all cases, credit transfers are possible. For example: If you completed a two year Business Administration diploma at Assiniboine Community College (ACC) or Red River College (RRC), you would receive full credit for those courses, if you enrolled in a university business administration degree program.
Yes, Campus Manitoba has contracted with Brandon University to offer students several online tutorials.

Yes, CMB students have access to an amazing range of online resources to help them succeed as a post secondary student.
The process for logging on to the UM Virtual Learning Commons is as follows:
If you do not remember your Campus Manitoba username and password simply contact your Campus Manitoba Centre coordinator, who will provide you with the login information or call our toll-free number 1-866-445-0063.
Since all CMB courses are delivered by distance education, every course is available at each centre. Over 50% of CMB courses are now online, so students, if they have a computer and internet access in their home, can take these courses from home without going to a centre. The remaining courses are delivered to the CMB centres using interactive technologies, so students travel to their nearest CMB centre for "scheduled" lectures and in the case of science courses for "labs".
Off-Campus Library Services (OCLS) is a service established by CMB in partnership with Brandon University (BU) to provide students enrolled in Campus Manitoba courses with materials needed to conduct research. Often students outside of urban centres do not have access to essential books, journal articles or government documents and publications. OCLS exists to provide all CMB with timely access to the information necessary to do university and college level research and writing.
Students may order books with the assistance of the coordinator. Order forms for university course texts are sent to the centres by Campus Books, Brandon University. Book orders can be placed in the following ways, depending on method of payment:
Campus Manitoba does not accept cash payments for texts.
Orders paid by cheque or money order are sent by buspack by the centre coordinator to CMB Brandon along with the orders.
For sponsored students, the appropriate sponsorship information is completed on the book order form and the centre coordinator can either send the orders by buspack to CMB Brandon or fax them directly to Campus Books. The sponsor will be billed.
Orders paid by credit card must be ordered online on the Campus Books secure site at:
www.brandonu.bkstr.com
Due to new security regulations, credit card information must no longer be sent by fax.
Books will be individually shrink-wrapped with the student receipt enclosed and sent to the centres. When notified by the coordinator, students can pick up books at the centres. In order to guarantee receipt of books by the first day of classes, orders and payments must be received by the due date indicated on the order form. Shipping charges will not be applied to book orders received by the order deadline. Late orders must be received complete with payment and will be sent to the centres as the orders are processed by Campus Books.
Texts that are returned must be in perfect condition (no markings, bent corners, etc.) and be accompanied with a copy of the receipt. Students are responsible for returning their own texts to:
Campus Books

Academic credits acquired from and applied towards studies at one institution that are also applicable towards the fulfillment of academic requirements at another institution are ‘dual credits.’
The Province of Manitoba now permits high school students to seek post-secondary and senior years dual credits by allowing successfully completed university-level courses to be counted towards senior four graduation requirements. Individual students, high schools, and school divisions are known to be interested in the potential of dual credit studies.
Students wishing to obtain university credits through Campus Manitoba while completing S4 may apply for dual credit admission. Courses are chosen from the first level offerings.
Brandon University applicants must meet the following criteria as set out in the BU General Calendar:
BU dual credit students may attempt a maximum of 9 credit hours before graduating with a high school diploma. No credit for the attempts is granted until the student meets admission requirements under the Regular, Mature or Transfer categories.
Students who have registered for at least one course with Brandon University will be allowed to register as a returning student for a maximum of 30 credit hours in the Regular Session following their high school graduation. Registration as a dual credit student must have the approval of the Dean of the appropriate faculty or school. BU’s dual credit offerings will exclude any 090 level courses.
BU will waive tuition fees for a maximum of 3 credit hours of BU course work completed, as long as Brandon University is designated as the student’s home institution. Dual credit students are responsible for payment of all other assessed fees.
University of Manitoba dual credit applicants must have a letter of support from their secondary school principal or designate to pursue dual credit studies, and must submit a transcript for high school work completed at the time of application. The student may be admitted to General Studies under the Special category for one session only, and course registration is restricted to 6 credit hours for the session, or 3 credit hours per term.
A second application for admission to University 1 (or direct entry faculty) must be submitted after completion of high school.
University of Winnipeg accelerated status admission is restricted to a few Winnipeg and area schools
for admission to a partial first year Arts or Science while completing high school subjects necessary for Regular status admission.
Further details can be found at:

University College of the North
At the University College of the North (UCN), Dual Credit courses are defined as UCN foundational courses that give students the ability to earn both Senior Years (high school) and post-secondary level course credit. UCN supports the guidelines developed under the Dual Credit Initiative by Manitoba Advanced Education and Training, and Manitoba Education & Youth.
UCN believes that Dual Credit courses are designed for high-achieving learners who have the demonstrated motivation and ability to take post-secondary level courses prior to achieving the requirements of their high school diploma. Dual Credit courses are meant to enrich and extend school curriculum, to avoid unnecessary duplication in coursework, and to challenge students who require more rigorous coursework than the current Senior Years curriculum provides.
UCN requires that Dual Credit courses be taught at a post-secondary level by instructors who have the appropriate and approved academic credentials. Although UCN Dual Credit courses may be available in a variety of locations, both within and outside of UCN, their academic rigor will be comparable, regardless of location.
To be eligible to enroll in a Dual Credit Course,
students must meet all of the following criteria:
Assiniboine Community College (ACC) offers students the opportunity to take college courses that count for both college credit and high school completion.
For more information and a list of courses available, please contact us at (204) 725 8735.
Articulation Agreements also exist between high schools and ACC. Agreements allow high school students to transfer specific high school courses into ACC programs at no charge. Agreements also exist between ACC and many universities, which allow ACC graduates to block transfer their ACC credentials.
Red River College
A number of Red River College courses have been registered with Adult Learning and Literacy (ALL) as dual credits.
Adult students who have not yet achieved a high school diploma may take up to 6 of these post-secondary level courses
and apply the credits to the attainment of the Mature Student High School Diploma (MSHSD).
For further information on RRC dual credit courses, please contact:
Pat Zwolak-Ross, Program Manager
Red River College Adult Learning Centre
(204) 632-3791
Students may earn dual credit through the Courses in High School program. The Courses in High School program allows grade 12 students to take university courses while still in high school and receive university credit. Students have an opportunity to find out what a university course is like and get a head start on university studies. Courses count for credit in University 1. Course selection varies and courses offered typically do not require high school prerequisites.
Students applying to the Courses in High School program are required to meet the following admission criteria:
Students will be admitted to the University of Manitoba as Special Students. Course registration is restricted to 12 credit hours for the Program.
Another application for admission to University 1 (or direct entry faculty) must be submitted after completion of high school.
Students will normally be accepted to the Courses in High School Program for the Fall Term, but applications to start in the Winter Term (January) will also be considered.

The dates for Spring break are course specific and would follow the university/college delivering your course.
For example, Bonnie is enrolled in two winter courses in 2009. One course, XZEA 21:3121, is offered by the University of Manitoba
and the other course, YBUN 21: 2142, is offered by the University College of the North.
Spring break for UM students is in a different month than the spring break for UCN students.
Since Bonnie is enrolled in two different courses offered by two different universities, her two winter term courses will have two different spring breaks.
Please check your course materials, the web site of the university delivering the course, or ask your CMB centre staff.
The following are the minimum recommended Technical Specifications for accessing BU Online course utilizing the Moodle LMS and Articulate Presenter recorded lectures:
Students are eligible for university/college student ID cards from their home institution.
The following procedures indicate how a student would receive this card.
Assiniboine Community College: Students who have ACC as their home institution are entitled to a Student ID free of charge.
When students register they are sent an email detailing that they are registered,
and that if they wish to have an ID, they must contact ACC’s Registrations and Admissions department with that request.
Once ACC is contacted with that request, the students will be mailed an ID without a photo.
If they require a photo student ID, they will need to come to the Victoria Avenue East Campus
during the hours of 8:00-4:30 with 1 piece of Government Issued Photo ID.
Brandon University: Brandon University ID cards are produced in the Housing Office, 270-18th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 6A9, 204-727-7394, or residence@brandonu.ca.
The cost is $34.65 (subject to change). A CMB student should take along proof of registration in order to get a card.
In the absence of proof, the housing office will contact Finance and Registration to confirm registration.
Red River College: Students can obtain photo ID from Red River College if they are active students.
This does require that they have their picture taken at one of RRC’s Student Service Centres in Winnipeg or one of RRC’s four Regional Campuses (Portage, Winkler, Steinbach or Gimli).
If taken at one of the Regional Campuses, the digital picture is emailed to Winnipeg and the card is mailed back to the Regional Campus approximately one week later.
If the picture is taken at one of the Winnipeg campuses, students can wait for their ID.
There is a fee of $5.00 for the card.
University College of the North: Any students not on one of the two main campuses get their pictures taken by the UCN Centre Coordinator at their site.
The coordinator takes the photo and emails it to StudentCard@ucn.ca.
The enrolment services clerks then take the photo from the email and create a card using the standard system.
The clerks then mail the cards to the Centre Coordinator.
University of Manitoba: Students can get a UM ID card by submitting the form found at umanitoba.ca/distance.
Click on Forms on the left side and scroll down to ID Card Request. There is no charge for this card.
